There are many today who claim to be Prophets of God, especially here in West Africa. It is confusing to people, who do not know the Word of God, to know if a certain "Prophet" or even "Preacher" is truly a man of God. These days many do not want to "judge" and are afraid to say anything against anyone. It is interesting to see what was the command of Jehovah God in Deuteronomy 18:20-22! In fact the Word of God makes it VERY clear that we can KNOW and should JUDGE in this matter!!

Deuteronomy 18:20 says,
But the prophet, which shall presume to speak a word in my name, which I have not commanded him to speak, or that shall speak in the name of other gods, even that prophet shall die.

Then the Lord showed them how to know if these prophets were really of God. This was because they did not have the completed Word of God (revelation was ongoing).

Verses 21 and 22 says,
And if thou say in thine heart, How shall we know the word which the LORD hath not spoken? When a prophet speaketh in the name of the LORD, if the thing follow not, nor come to pass, that is the thing which the LORD hath not spoken, but the prophet hath spoken it presumptuously: thou shalt not be afraid of him.

Today we do have the completed Word of God so we only have to compare the Message to the Bible to know if the Preacher is of God!

Galatians 1:6-9 says,
I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel:7 Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ.8 But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.9 As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.

We need to know God's Word and with the Help of the Holy Spirit of God we can know the Doctrine that is of GOD! AMEN!
