The REAL Super Man!

Please be in prayer for our oldest son, Thomas (now 8 years old). He broke both of his arms after jumping out of our swing set on Saturday, April 9th. He is doing a little better now, however, he will not be in his cape for a while!

Update on Thomas: The bones were not set well and he has had to remain in his casts. The doctors in the U.S. worked to straighten the bones and put new casts on. We praise the Lord that this appears to have worked. The bones are now straightening on their own! Re-breaking the bones was not something that we wanted Thomas to have to go through. He will keep the new casts on for a few more weeks (mid June, 2005) and then they will put on lighter ones or possibly braces. Please continue to pray for Thomas. It is really hard for an 8 year old to be in casts for so long!

    Both Robert and Donna are graduates of Ambassador Baptist College of Lattimore, North Carolina. Robert was saved in a conservative Southern Baptist Church in April of 1990. The Lord called him to the Gospel Ministry and he began Bible school soon after. Learning of the compromises within the Southern Baptist Convention he was led by the Lord to separate and join an Independent Fundamental Baptist Church there in North Carolina.

 

    The Lord has used them in the Jail, Nursing Home, and Youth ministries since the time of Robert's calling. After graduating from Bible school he served as the Youth Pastor of Great Hope Baptist Church in Chesapeake, VA. They served in this ministry until the time of  their deputation work for church planting in West Africa. At that time they joined with Antioch New Testament Baptist Mission (an in-house ministry of Pastor Allen Dickerson and the Maranatha Baptist Church in Elkton, MD). In January of 2001 the Simpsons left for Ghana, West Africa where they are currently involved in establishing the Bible Believers Independent Baptist Church of Cape Coast. The Lord is blessing, souls are being saved, Christians are being discipled, and the Word of God is being preached! Their Church is currently involved with weekly door-to-door evangelism, a weekly radio ministry, and a full-time Bible Institute to train Pastors and other Christian workers. Please PRAY for this missionary family and the work of God they are involved in.
